Obituary for Pleasance Tibbetts

Pleasance Gladys Tibbetts of Grand Bay-Westfield, born June 26, 1930 in Saint John, NB, passed away at Loch Lomond Village on September 15, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. Faithful and loving wife to the late Freeland Howard Tibbetts.

She is survived by her four sons Dave (Chris), Gary (Dawn), Corey, and Blake (Linda). Grandchildren Wayne, Angela, Laura Lee, Andrew, Melissa, Jim, Dan and Joel. Great grandchildren Josh, Jessi, Nikolaus, Isabelle, Bradley, Sarah, Vanessa, Evan, Liam, Briar, Emmett, Sophie, Acacia, Andrew, Carter and Maddison. Sisters Barb (Edward) Mackie, Donna (Jim) Hazelwood, and Betty (Malcolm) Dempsey and brother George (Pat) Clarke, brother-in-law Larry (Marj) Tibbetts and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her husband Freeland, father and mother Tom and Flora (Alderman) Clarke, brother Tom (Tub) (Barb), brothers in law, Ron (Clair) Tibbetts and Bill (Shirley) Tibbetts and many close friends.

Mom was as giving and caring as anyone could be, always supportive of others, and would often visit the sick and elderly with her dear friend Joan. Her and Dad would work tirelessly to prepare for Christmas dinners and enjoyed it so much when we were all together. She was also a member of Grand Bay Baptist Church for a number of years. Although the circle down here may be broken for a time, we will all meet again, for Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place for you that where I am there ye may be also."

You see, Mom gave her life to Jesus Christ many years ago and lived knowing one day she would live again!

Arrangements are under the care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB with visitation on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at 2:00 pm. from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Cedar House of Loch Lomond Village Nursing Home or to the charity of the donor’s choice.

A very special thanks to all the staff at Cedar House, you people are second to none! www.fundyfuneralhome.com
