Obituary for Ann Hicks

(1942–2019)
The family is sadden to announce that Ann passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, ON on Sunday, September 15, 2019.

Beloved wife of James Hicks and mother of Cynthia Biondi (Fillipo). Fondly remembered by her brothers Stephen Wheatley of Fredericton, NB and John Wheatley (Beth Forestell Wheatley) of St. John, NB. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ann was born in Grand–Mère, QC and was raised in Fredericton, NB. She attended Mount Allison University and received a B.Sc. from Acadia University and a B.E. from the University of New Brunswick. She taught school in Labrador City and was a dietitian at the Sudbury General Hospital. Ann was an enigma, loved to play bridge and enjoyed her book clubs. She was an avid shopper at many of the thrift stores where she had many friends. Also, she had many valued friends at the Salvation Army Church and craft class.

I would like to thank the Doctors and staff at HSN for the care they provided Ann.

Cremation has already taken place, a gathering of family and friends will be announced at a later date for a Celebration of her Life.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made directly to a charity of your choice.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd. Online condolences can be posted at www.RangersSudbury.com
