Obituary for Dorice Poirier

1928 - 2019

Dorice Poirier, 91, of Dieppe, formerly of Echo Drive, Moncton, passed away on Friday September 20, 2019 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. She was married to the late Aldrice Poirier (2013). Born on June 13, 1928 in Jailletville, she was the daughter of the late Edouard and Dométhilde (Richard) Hasselman.
She will be sadly missed by her children: Jeannine (Denis Richard) of Irishtown, Donald and Louise, both of Moncton, and Paul (Annette) of Dieppe; two grandchildren: Nicole and Nathalie; one sister, Flora (late Gérard); as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings: Emile, Louis, Henri, Ernest, Maurice, Albert, Roger, Arthur, Irène, Julia, and Rita.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Monday September 23, 2019 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Monday from 10 am until time of funeral followed by a reception. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Dorice, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
