Obituary for Leonard Lirette

1939 - 2019
Leonard ”Len” Lirette, 80, of Dieppe, passed away on Sunday, September 22nd, 2019, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton. Born in Fox Creek, NB, he was the son of the late Regis and the late Lorette (née: Melanson) Lirette.

Prior to retirement, Leonard had worked for Rinzler’s Meat Market in Moncton for 36 years. He was an avid Montreal Canadiens fan and a member of Saint-Anselme parish.

He is survived by his wife, Doris (née: Gallant); his children: Roger (Florence), Donald (Patsy), Monique (Charles), Michel, Bernard (Suzanne) and Daniel; his grandchildren: Nathalie (Pat), Rachelle (Rémi), Maryssa (Tyler), Danika (Jean-David) and Jordan; his great grandchildren: Jessyca, Alexa, Zoé and Melodie; his sisters: Fedelice, Aline, Dorice (Roger), Della (Wayne) and Dorine (Wayne); his brothers: Dollard (Carol), Louis (Paulette), Charles (Georgette) and Noel (Lorraine), as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sisters: baby Aline and Louise and also by his brothers: Leon, Valmon, Emile and Romeo.

Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, (857-1901) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm only. A Celebration of the word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901), on Thursday, September 26th, 2019 at 10 am.
