Obituary for Clarence Curwin

1930-2019
Clarence J. Curwin, 89, of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Cap-Saint-Louis, he was the son of the late James and Zoë (Vautour) Curwin.

He retired from the Moncton Fire Department in 1993 as the acting Deputy Fire Chief. Clarence was a member of the Moncton Lions Club for over 50 years, serving as past president and Area District Governor.

Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Gladys Curwin of Moncton; by his three sons: Guy, Mike (Susan) and Peter (Debbie) all of Moncton; his sister, Shirley Curwin of Saint-John; his brother, Jimmy (Maureen) of Richiboucto; his granddaughter, Amanda; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Roland; and by a brother, Gérard.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 9 at 11 am. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday from 10 am till the time of the funeral.
