Obituary for Bernard Allain

1944 – 2019
Bernard Allain, 75, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent on Saturday October 5, 2019. He was married to Marguerite (Dallaire) Allain. Born in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Aurele and the late Lydia (Lecouteur) Allain.

He will be sadly missed by his wife; Marguerite, his two daughters; Ethel Smith (Peter) of Bouctouche and Christine Frost of Grand Manan, his two grandchildren; Corey and Hayley and his dog Buddy. He also leaves to mourn three sisters; Doris Kenney (Ed Corn) of Peterborough, ON, Jeannette Maillet of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, Imelda Allain of Bouctouche, his two brothers; Gerald (Emilia) of Waltham, MA, Léo-Paul of Bouctouche and several nephews and nieces.

Bernard was predeceased by his step-father; Gerard Allain as well as his three brothers; Roger, Laurie and Désiré.

Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Sunday October 6, 2019 from 7 to 9 and on Monday from 1 to 2:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Monday October 7, 2019 at 3:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.

In Bernard’s memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Diabetes Association.
