Obituary for Emile Martin

Emile Martin, age 77, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends on Thursday, September 26th 2019 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. Born in Baie Ste-Anne, he was the son of the late Emery and Francoise (Rousselle) Martin.

He is survived by his wife, Therese Martin, two daughters: Marie Chantal Martin (Gerard) of Saint John NB, and Nancy Martin Jenkins (Andrew) of Calgary AB; two step-children: Gerard Robichaud (Pam) of Baie Ste-Anne and Albertine Robichaud (Quentin) of Miramichi NB. Seven grandchildren: Marie-Josee, Nicolas, Jonathan, Isabelle, Raquel, Aden, Laylou and several nieces and nephews. Emile is also survived by his two sisters: Althea Daigle (Gerard) of Halifax, NS, and Cecile McIntyre (Jerry) of St-Louis de Kent, NB, and one brother: Henry Martin of Miramichi, NB.

Besides his parents Emile was predeceased by his brother, Vincent Martin and four sisters: Vitaline Quann, Amanda Manuel, Germaine Martin and Olesine Martin.

Visitation will take place at the Baie Ste-Anne Slumberoom, Thursday, October 3rd from 2 to 4pm. Mass will follow October 3rd at 4:00pm from Sainte Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Baie Ste-Anne NB with Fr Doyle officiating. Burial will follow in St Anne’s cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are: Luc Martin, Gerard McLaughlin, Aldonice Robichaud, Jean-Marie Martin, Junior Martin, Eliase Robichaud, Aurelien Robichaud, Gary Robichaud, Henry Martin, and Gerard Daigle.

The family wishes to thank Dr Losier and staff of 3 east palliative care unit, and Pam Stewart for their thoughtful services and tender care at the Miramichi Regional Hospital.
