Obituary for Anna Gaudet

1925 - 2019
Sister Anna Gaudet (Sr. Marie-Esther), ndsc, of Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, Moncton, passed away following a lengthy illness on Tuesday October 8, 2019, at the convent where she resided. She was 94 years old and in the 73rd year of her religious life. Born on February 9, 1925 in Pointe-Sapin, she was the daughter of the late Jean-Baptiste and Esther (Dugas) Gaudet.

Besides her religious family, she is survived by one brother, Antoine (Marie) of Moncton; as well as several nephews and nieces.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by four sisters: Sr Marie-Jean-Baptiste ndsc, Esther, Rita and Maria; and five brothers: Nazaire, Aurèle, Hector, Gérard, and infant Jean-Baptiste.

Sister Anna will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavilion of the Maison-mère, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Sunday, October 13 from 2 to 8:30 pm and Monday October 14 from 9 am until the time of funeral mass. Solemn Vespers will be held on Sunday evening at 7 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 14 in the Maison-mère chapel at 10 am. Interment will be in Memramcook. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900). Words of comfort and donations may be made at www.frenettefuneralhome.com
