Obituary for Helen McKay

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Helen Alice McKay of Fredericton, NB, which occurred on Monday, October 7, 2019 at Fredericton Hospice House. Born on November 2, 1949 in Red Bank, NB, she was the daughter of the late Foran and Elsie (McLean) Dunn.

Helen retired from Payroll at UNB. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church.

Helen is survived by her children, Pamela McKay (Chris), Robert McKay and Randy McKay and their father, Ned McKay (Deanna); sisters, Maureen Donovan and Elizabeth Rattray (John); several nieces and nephews; step-grandson, Jacob and many special friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her step father, Allan McLean and brother-in-law Tom Donovan.

A Memorial Mass will take place at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 11am with Father Martin Arputham as celebrant. Interment will take place in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Hospice Fredericton, Spinal Muscular Atrophy or the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
