Obituary for Christina Garnett

Christina Elizabeth Garnett (née London) passed peacefully surrounded by family at Carleton Kirk Lodge Nursing Home on Tuesday, October 8, 2019. Born in 1920, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Bessie London.

Christina was also predeceased by her siblings, Roy, Ralph, Garnett, James, May, Kathleen and Gertrude; along with her son, Allan.

Christina, who was affectionately known as “Teenie” or “Chris”, is survived by her daughter, Mary; grandchildren, Cheryle, Chris, Dale, Shelley, Mark and David; as well as many great-grandchildren.

For several years, she worked as a hairdresser at Waterloo Beauty before spending 20 years employed at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Christina was known for her kindness, her faith and her delicious baking. She will be truly missed.

Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. The funeral service will be held at Brenan’s Chapel on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place at a later date in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
