Obituary for Maria Arcelus

The passing of Dr. Maria Luisa Arcelus of Fredericton, NB, occurred on October 8, 2019 at York Care Centre. Born on August 10, 1945 in Montevideo, Uruguay, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Maria (Saccone) De Martine.

After years of teaching University and High School-level Math and Science courses, Dr. Arcelus owned her own English-Spanish Translation and Interpretation business. She will always be remembered as an adoring mother and grandmother, a keen intellect, and a wonderful friend.

She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Amaya Arcelus (Andrew Feltham) of Ottawa, ON; grandchildren, Seniko, Mateo and Ines Feltham.

A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 10am. Interment will take place in Hermitage Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com.
