Obituary for Anna Marie Dineen

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Anna Marie (LeBlanc) Dineen announces her passing which occurred peacefully on October 13, 2019. She was born in Minto, NB on April 14, 1942 to the late Jaddus and Bella (Pitre) LeBlanc. She was also predeceased by her brother Emile LeBlanc.

Anna worked as a schoolteacher for many years before taking a position with Pupil Evaluation which she retired from. Anna loved her family and her dog Abbey, she also loved and missed teaching; everywhere she went she ran into someone she taught. She also spent many years camping and traveling and if she wasn’t doing that, she was out dancing. She loved dancing and playing the spoons and could jive like no other. She was an avid bingo player, could find great deals at yard sales and had a passion for old cars. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Anna is survived by her children Mike (Brenda) Dineen and Vicki (Charlie Ramsay) Dineen, cherished grandchildren, T.J Dineen and Brittany Scoville; her great grandson Darius Irving, her siblings: Eloi G. (Aurelia) LeBlanc of Ontario, Laurie Findlay of BC, Gerald LeBlanc of Moncton, Richard (Patricia) LeBlanc of Dieppe, Louis (Sheila) LeBlanc, Marie (Robert) Betts, Maurice (Eileen) LeBlanc, Eric LeBlanc, all of Riverview; sister–in–law Patricia LeBlanc, several nieces and nephews, her previous husband and current friend James Dineen and her precious fur baby Abbey.

The family of Anna would like to send their thanks and appreciation to all the staff of the Church of St. John St. Stephen Nursing Home for their care and compassion towards their mother.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646–2424) with visitation being held on Wednesday, October 16th from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following in the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m.

Donations in memory of Anna may be made to the Alzheimer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice. To send a message of condolence please visit www.fundyfuneralhome.com.
