Obituary for Rhéal Richard

Rhéal Richard, 71, of Haute–Aboujagane passed away on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at the CHU Dr–Georges–L.–Dumont. Born on August 3, 1948 in Haute–Aboujagane he was the son of the late Émile and Pélagie (Cormier) Richard.

Rhéal will be remembered as a religious, happy and joyous man who overcame a work–related accident and sickness. He loved hunting, fishing and nature in itself. He enjoyed taking out his four-wheeler on the back roads to go pick up bottles and cans. He also relished generous lobster cookouts with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rose–Marie née Boudreau; his children: Ricky (Caroline Garon) of Québec City, Russel (Chantal Beaulieu) and Réjean both of Haute–Aboujagane; his grandchildren: Luc Beaulieu (Danielle Roy), Renelle and Zacharie Richard, children of Sheila Cormier, Olivier and Marguerite Richard; his great–grandchildren: Natalie and Amélie Beaulieu; his sisters: Zélica Cummings (Greg) of Halifax, Sylvia Vautour of Cormier–Village and Lynda Cormier (René) of Cap–Pelé; his brothers: Allain (Géraldine) and Guy (Géraldine) both of Haute–Aboujagane; his mother–in–law, Émilia Boudreau (late Gérald); as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends, like Christine LeBlanc. He was the godfather of Michel Boudreau and Gisèle Richard.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main St Shediac (532–3297) on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 2pm to 4 pm and 7pm to 9pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at the Sacré–Cœur R.C. Church in Haute–Aboujagane on Wednesday at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the Parish cemetery. In memory of Rhéal, a contribution to the donor’s choice would be appreciated.

Cremation and funeral arrangements were entrusted to Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac. Words of comfort and donations can be made at www.frenettefuneral.com
