Obituary for Bonnie Wilcox

Bonnie Elizabeth (Everett) Wilcox, 74, of Saint John, New Brunswick, died on October 18, 2019 at Hospice House in Fredericton after a short illness. She was born August 30, 1945, in Fredericton to the late Rev. T.D.F. Everett and the late Mildred Everett.

She is survived by her children, Jason Wilcox (Toronto), Nicole Doyon (Fredericton), and John Doyon (Saint John); grandchildren Kaleb Foster (Fredericton) and Kelsie Foster (Fredericton); her sister, Hilary Apfelstadt (Dublin, Ohio); her nephew, Chris Apfelstadt (Dublin, OH), and her niece, Katherine Apfelstadt (London, UK).

Bonnie graduated from New Glasgow (NS) Senior High School and then from New Brunswick Teachers’ College. She went on to teach elementary school in New Brunswick and Ontario. She was a proud, committed member of Alcoholics Anonymous since 1993, a passionate fan of the sport of harness racing, and in her later years enjoyed greeting the many international cruise ship visitors to Saint John.

At her request, there will be no service or visitation. Cremation has already taken place. Arrangements are in care of McAdam’s Funeral Home in Fredericton, NB.

Donations may be made in her memory to her treasured causes, the New Brunswick Association of Fire Chiefs or New Brunswick Police Association. Online condolences may be left at www.mcadamsfh.com
