Obituary for Susan Barrett

Susan Minnie Clarissa Clarke Barrett, born in Lincoln, New Brunswick, on March 10th, 1938, passed away peacefully at Hospice House surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer on October 20th, 2019.

Susan is survived by her husband of 64 years, Stanley, and her sons, Philip (Nancy) and Chris; grandchildren, Jennifer Barrett, Shelley Melody (Justin), Sean Barrett; great-grandchildren, Brandon Connors, Payton Connors, Kaitlyn Barrett, Hailie Barrett, Sydney Jacobs, Chelsea Jacobs, Hayden Jacobs, Grayson Melody, Colin Melody, Adyson, Brandon; great-great-grandchild, Aleia; several nieces and nephews and her cat Daisy.

Susan was predeceased by her mother, Violet Clarke; her father, Bertram Clarke; five brothers; grandson, William Barrett; and great-grandson, Devin Connors.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Susan’s name may be made to the Oromocto SPCA, Hospice House Fredericton and St. Margaret’s Anglican Church, Fredericton, NB.

Visitation will be held at McAdam's Funeral Home, Fredericton, Tuesday October 22nd from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at St. Margaret’s Anglican Church, Forest Hill, Fredericton, NB, on Wednesday, October 23rd, 2019 at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
