Obituary for Mary Fisher

1932-2019
Mary Clarke Fisher, of Riverview, N.B., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Monarch Hall on October 20, 2019. Born in Truro, NS, she was the daughter of the late Hedley and Alice (Clarke) Kent.

Mary worked for many years as a medical transcriptionist in Medical Imaging at both the Colchester Hospital in Truro, N.S. and the Moncton City Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her family, wintering in Florida, knitting, and spending time at the cottage in McKees Mills. She loved playing and watching golf. The highlight of her golfing was getting a hole in one at Pinecrest Golf Course in Largo Florida. Mary will be remembered for her kindness, sense of humour, devotion, and genuine warmth. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, and made a positive contribution to the lives of many. Mary was a member of the St Paul’s United Church in Riverview, N.B.

Mary is survived by her husband Wallace “Wally” Fisher of 67 years, son, Ross (Ann) Fisher of Moncton, daughters; Janet (Mike) Farrell of Pollett River, N.B., Beth (Joe) Robichaud of Riverview, N.B., brothers; Jimmy (Glenda) Kent of Lower Truro, N.S., Everad “Eb” Kent of St. Catharines, ON.; sister-in-law Janet Kent of Lower Truro, N.S., and brother-in-law Stephen Jefferson of Halifax, N.S. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Andrew (Chrissy) Farrell, Nick (Trisha) Farrell, Dawn (Troy) Butler, Scott (Bonnie) Fisher, Michael Fisher, Thomas (Ashley) Robichaud, Samantha (Andrew) Corkum, great-grandchildren: Logan, Macey, Cash, Carter, Emily, Will, Reegan, Frankie, Freddie, Evelyn, Ari, and her many nieces and nephews.

Aside from Mary’s parents, she was predeceased by her sister Katie Jefferson, brother John Kent, and sister-in-law Elaine Kent.

Resting at Cobb’s Funeral Home, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview (869-2007) with visitation on Friday, October 25, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 2:00pm at Cobb’s Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Berubé officiating. Burial to take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the SPCA or a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
