Obituary for Normand McFarlane

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Normand McFarlane; which occurred on October 14th in the palliative care unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Surrounded by loved ones Theresa, step–daughter Tammy (Jason), granddaughter Merrissa, (aka Pun Pun), grandson Mason, step–son Michael (Terra), and grandsons Isaac and Isaiah.

Normand was born on July 19th 1949 at Campbellton Regional Hospital to Laurina (Gallant) and Irvine McFarlane. He will be sadly missed by his son Joshua Caissy; his sisters Murielle and Patricia and his brother Michel (Nicole).

In his earlier years Normand enjoyed working on the fishing boats he worked at many different jobs including RMH call centre. He enjoyed listening to the Blues especially BB King, and always enjoyed a good horror movie. His passion was his music he loved playing his guitar and the mouth organ at family gatherings and really any day of the week. He had an unconditional love for his family. Everyone else knows him as Norm but to his grandchildren he was known as "Pappy", the fun–loving goofball who always made them smile and consistently had some kind of small treat for them with every visit. We all love him and will miss him dearly.

A special thank you to the extra mural nurses, the staff on 3CN, and the staff of 3BN palliative care for their attentive and Compassionate Care.

Arrangements are entrusted to Savoie Funeral Home and a private celebration of life will be held.
