Condolence: Dear Pat, Linda, Andy and Family,

Please accept my deepest condolences on the passing of your son, brother, uncle, and friend. Ward was a kind and compassionate soul. His infectious laugh and great sense of humour won him many friends. I will miss him greatly. His contribution to the world of photojournalism will be a lasting legacy that we can all remember him by. Weird Wonderful Wacked-Out Ward was here.

Warm Regards,
Cyndi

Condolence From: Mary-Frances Hill
Condolence: I worked with Ward at the Vancouver Sun for just a little under 2 years. Whenever I filled out a photographers request I crossed my fingers that Ward would be put onto the assignment. He was so talented, and so kind to me. I will never forget his intelligence, his great skill and his love for his job. I enjoyed every moment I spent with him and will remember him always as a kind, exuberant man.

As a former coworker said to me today, in great sadness, "wow, he was one of the good guys." Truer words were never spoken. He will be missed by so many.
