Obituary for Carol Wright

Surrounded by her loving family, Carol Ann Wright (Hovey) passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on October, 27th 2019. Carol was born December 23rd, 1942 in Saint John, NB to the late Lester and Dorothy (Davis) Hovey.

Carol was employed at the Saint John General Hospital where she worked as an LPN in the operating room. Health issues forced her to retire in 1976. She spent much of her time at her home on the lake in Cambridge Narrows. She enjoyed working in her small vegetable garden and tending to her apple, pear and plum trees, as well as grape vines. Carol was a member of the Full Gospel Assembly her entire life.

Carol will be greatly missed by her husband of 48 years, Kenneth R. Wright, daughter; Carolyn (Randy) Davis, sister; Mary Hovey (Loeman), grandchildren; Joshua (Nicole), Kayla (Tyler Estabrooks) and Kyle, great-grandchildren; Griffin, Thea, and Issac, uncles; Fred Stackhouse, Robert Davis, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, cats; Muffins, Molly, dog; Angel.

She is predeceased by her parents and brother-in-law; Robert Loeman.

Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M2L3 506–634–1701. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 29th from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM and Wednesday, October 30th, from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held at Castle Funeral Home, Fallsview Chapel on Thursday, October 31st, 2019 at 11 AM, with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery. All are invited to join the family at Castle Funeral Home Reception Centre after the burial.

Donations in Carols’ memory can be made to the SPCA or Heart and Stroke Foundation. Online condolences can be made at www.castlefh.com.
