Obituary for Vallis Worden

Val Worden of Upper Kingsclear, NB passed away on October 28, 2019 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on August 28, 1929 at Meductic, NB, he was a son of the late Howard and Helen (Johnson) Worden.

Val had a sincere love of music and singing, participating as a soloist or as member of a quartet. He was a giving man who will be fondly remembered by his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Gayla MacIntosh, Hanwell; two sons, Daniel Worden (Annie), Fredericton, NB and Mark Worden, Old Orchard Beach; three grandchildren, Jeremy Worden, Nicole Worden (Joe) and Jacob Worden; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Poole and a brother-in-law, David Hazelton; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Linda (Hazelton) Worden; a son-in-law, Mark MacIntosh; three brothers, Walter, Douglas and Rev. Hardy Worden (Dorothy).

Visitation will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic, NB on Saturday, November 2, 2019 from 10 to 11 am, followed by the funeral service at 11 am in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Charles Yerxa. Interment will follow at the Marne Cemetery.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Val, the family has suggested the Marne Cemetery or the Arthritis Society. www.flewellingswan.com
