Obituary for Marie Wilcox

It is with great sadness that the family of Marie (Brophy) Wilcox announces her passing on Friday, November 1, 2019, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, NB.

Marie is survived by her loving daughter Teah Legere; grandchildren Amber Atkins (Andrew), Ryan Legere (Emily); great-grandchildren Savannah and Cohen Legere; several nieces and nephews and special friends Wendy Smith and Denise Burke.

In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by three sisters Ethel, Bernice and Velma.

Marie was a true entrepreneur and a successful business woman. She started her career as a teacher and from there became a district sales leader for Avon before joining Canada Life in 1978 until she retired.

Marie loved to garden and took such pride in her garden. She loved angels and always said her guardian angel was with her.

She was a long-time member of the garden club and active member of the Women’s Institute.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses of the ICU.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2019. Interment will be in the Oromocto Pioneer Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to Hospice Fredericton or to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by the Family. Online condolences may be made at www.mcadamsfh.com
