Obituary for Muriel Bubar

With a great sense of loss the passing of Muriel Bessie (Miller) Bubar of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Roy Ernest Bubar occurred on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Shannex Frederick Hall, Nursing Home Fredericton, NB. Born on February 4, 1933 in Upper Waterville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Iva (Haines) Miller. Muriel worked at the Hartt Shoe Factory for a short while and then at the Victoria Public Hospital. She was a member of the Covered Bridge Golden Age Club and volunteered in her community and church. She was a skilled seamstress and quilter and gardener. She loved her Lord, family, friends and church family.

Muriel is survived by her daughters, Dianna Wade (David) of Saint John, NB and Deborah Hoyt of Fredericton, NB; son, Alton Bubar (Lucie) of Nashwaak Bridge, NB; granddaughters, Alayna, Lisa and Amanda; grandsons, James, Tyson and BJ; great grandchildren, Ramsey, Jazmine, Gregor, Sami, Bryce, Bailey, Anya, Trina and Cadence; brother, Ray Miller; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sisters, Velma Wanlin, Jean McConnell and Idella Thomas; brothers, Vaughan, Leo H. and Larry Miller.

A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday November 12th 2019 at 2 pm with Pastor Gordon Mowry and Pastor Tim Donovan officiating. Interment will take place in Nashwaak Bridge Community Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Residents Care of Fredrick Hall, her home for the past three and a half years or the charity of the donor’s choice.
