Obituary for Bedford Buck

Bedford C. Buck, 86, of Monarch Hall, Riverview, with family at his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, November 3, 2019. Born in Dorchester Cape, he was the son of the late Elmer and Grace (Hopper) Buck.

Bedford, in past years, was a well known home builder in the Greater Moncton area. He was an avid follower of country music, especially local country music artists and enjoyed attending country fairs and time spent at the family cottage. His family and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the loves and pride of his life.

Bedford will be sadly missed by his children, Jane Sherrard of Pugwash, NS, Peter Buck (Ann) of Moncton, Richard Buck (Kelly) of Riverview, Patty Hicks (Rod) of Fredericton, Jimmy Beaman (Cathy) of Upper Coverdale; precious grandchildren, Johnson and Bedford Sherrard, Dean and Carla Beaman, Jacob and Grace Hicks, Laura Marinas, Sarah, Katie, Andrew, Alex, Nick, Jack and Rob Buck; ten special great-grandchildren; sister, Grace Hankinson (Jim) of Toronto, ON; brother- Ray of Moncton; brothers-in-law, Allan Harris and Ronald Smith, both of Moncton; sister-in-law, Greta Beaver of Moncton; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Ruth E. (Crawford) Buck (December 2017); brothers, Arthur and Billy; sisters, Shirley and Ferne.

The Buck family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and all the support staff at Monarch Hall for the love and care given to Bedford during his stay. Special thanks to Frances, Cathy, Lisa, Kelly and special daughters-in-law, Kelly and Ann.

Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Tuesday from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A Service to celebrate and honour Bedford’s life will be held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Scott Ryder leading the service. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.

In memory of Bedford, donations to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Online condolences for the family may be shared on Fergusons Funeral Home Facebook page or at www.fergusonsfuneralhome.com
