Obituary for Claudette Robichaud

Claudette Robichaud, 73, of Moncton, passed away surrounded by loving family at the Dr. George-L-Dumont UHC, on Saturday, November 2, 2019. Born in Cocagne, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Élise (LeBlanc) Goguen.

Claudette completed her LPN training in Tracadie (1964-1965) and later completed a diploma in Perioperative Care at the Halifax Infirmary. She enjoyed working as a scrub nurse in the operating room at the Hotel Dieu in Bathurst. Having had a special love and respect for the elderly, which she learned from her mother, she worked many years at the Manoir Saint-Jean-Baptiste in Bouctouche. She enjoyed travelling, shopping, true stories and spending time with her family. In retirement, she shared many hours with her husband gardening and gathering stones in various Maritime areas for the landscaping of her family yard.

She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Tanya Robichaud-Reardon (Pat) of Moncton, Nadia Robichaud (Lars) of Victoria, BC; her grandchildren, Alexandre, Jérémie, Caleb and Margo. She also leaves to mourn; her sisters, Maria Dupuis (Allain) of Cocagne, Sylvia LeBreton (Mario) of Tracadie; her brothers; Hervé (Yvette) of Shediac, Gerard, Oscar (Gloria) both of Cocagne; her second mother, Simonne (Boudreau) Goguen of Shediac, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 37 years, Conrad, as well as, her brother Alyre Goguen.

Visitations will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Thursday, November 7 from 1PM until time of the Funeral Mass at the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Roman Catholic Church at 3PM. Reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Southeast NB (hospicesenb.ca).

The family wishes to thank Dr Nicole St-Pierre, all at the Moncton Residence, the health care personnel from Extra-Mural, the 4A and Palliative Care Units, including Dr. Patrice Landry and his resident Dr. Omar.
