Obituary for Clarence Caissie

It is with great sadness that the family of Clarence Joseph Caissie announces his passing on November 1, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on November 16, 1950 in St. Norbert, NB, he was a son of the late Aquila and Aline (Savoie) Caissie.

Clarence graduated from Saint John Vocational School and began a career as a plumber. He was a handyman and a jack-of-all-trades. Most of all, he loved the outdoors and was happiest when he was fishing, camping or biking.

Clarence will live on in the hearts of his brother: Eugere; sisters: Lovina (Skip) Ayles, Lita St. Pierre, Jeannine (Stephen Melanson) Caissie, Huguette (Kim) Rector, and Berni (Ric) Vernon; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Raymond Caissie, infant siblings Ann Marie and Bernard Joseph Caissie, as well as nephew Jared Rector.

The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Kennebec Manor for the wonderful care he received during his stay. Many friendships were made over the last 11 years, and he especially was fond of his special friend Lucy. The care and compassion shown to Clarence will always be in our hearts.

Arrangements are entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on his birthday in the Holy Redeemer Parish (316 Somerset Street) on November 16, 2019 at 12 Noon. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the MS Society of Canada, Mindcare NB, SPCA, or charity of the donor’s choice. Condolences can be placed at www.BrenansFH.com.
