Obituary for Lydia LeBlanc

1922 – 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving mother, Lydia LeBlanc 97, of Shediac, NB and formally of Bathurst, NB. She passed away peacefully surrounded with her family at her side on Sunday, November 10, 2019. Born in Island River, NB, she was the daughter of the late John and Emilie (Chiasson) Luce.

Her faith in God and family was most dear to her heart. Her most precious role was being a loving wife, mother, mémère and petite mémère. She faithfully attended St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church and she also enjoyed attending the weekly Charismatic Prayer Group. She was a member of the lady’s auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Shediac Branch #33. Mom made many pilgrimages organized by Brother Aurèle. She also enjoyed her frequent visits to the Villa Providence to visit the elderly.

She will be sadly missed by her children; Raymond, Raymonde O’Brien (Allan), Pauline Taylor (Frank) and Claudette Renaud of Shediac; her siblings Urbain Luce (Irene) of Nipigon On., Therese Godin, Alice Aube, Jean-Paul Luce (Marie) and Claude Luce of Bathurst, NB; her eight grandchildren; Keith, Colin, Sandra, Brent, Scott, Bradley, Eric and Natalie; her six great-grandchildren Brandon, Britney, Jenny, Luke, Emma, William; and by her many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 38 years, Eric LeBlanc (1985); her siblings Jean-Baptiste, Alden, Laurent, Livain, Arthur, Emilia, Alphonse, Gerard, Martha and Raymond.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main St. Shediac on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shediac, NB, Friday, November 15, 2019 at 2 p.m.

The family would like to extend a special thank you for the wonderful care our mother received from Joanne and Monique of the Extra Mural team and also Alisha of Unicare.

In Memory of Lydia, a contribution to a charity of your choice will be appreciated by the family.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Shediac. Words of comfort and donations can be made at www.frenettefuneral.com
