Obituary for Linda Clarke

Linda Patricia Clarke (Walker), 72, of St Stephen, New Brunswick, died unexpectedly on November 9th, at home. Born June 14, 1947, in St Stephen, she is predeceased by her parents, Bill and Ruth (Vail) Walker of St Stephen, her husband of 51 years, Bill Clarke; and her dear daughter Stephanie.

Linda was a homemaker who took great care with her cozy home and expansive property with Bill. She loved spending time with family, especially when we were all together for summer reunions. She also loved games, playing cards, solving crosswords and taking care of Jake (world’s greatest cat).

She is survived by her eldest daughter, Heather (Rob) Horwood of Fredericton, her sister Diane (Chaw) Hrebien and grandchildren, Alex and Noah Horwood.

A celebration of her life will be held at the Kirk McColl United Church, 70 King Street, St. Stephen, NB. on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at 3 PM. The family will receive visitors at the church from 1 PM until service time. Immediately following the service, family and friends are invited to join us for a reception in the church hall.

The family wishes to thank everyone who has played a role in allowing Linda to live happily at the Ledge, the last handful of years, during Bill’s long illness and after his death. There are too many to name, but you know who you are and we sincerely thank-you.

Donations may be made to the charity of your choice although our suggestions would be the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the IWK. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.mehanfuneralhome.ca
