Obituary for Vercelia Gass

Vercelia E. Gass of McAdam, NB passed away on November 24, 2019 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Vercelia was born on March 17, 1924 at Little Ridge, Charlotte Co., NB, a daughter of the late Norman and Lottie (McFarland) Little.

She is survived by her children, Marsha Davis (Peter), Lawrence Gass (Carole) and Randford Gass (Jean); two sisters, Althea Little and Olive Knoop; a brother, Blenis Little; a son-in-law, Colin Leslie; eight grandchildren, Tracy Pare (Jean Marc), Tara Gass, Michael Gass (Meghan), Heather Gass (Scott), Matthew Davis, Sarah Davis, Brandon Leslie and Paige Leslie; six great-grandchildren, Cassidy, Anthony, Brody, Lochlan, Laila and Duncan; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George W. (Mike) Gass; a daughter, Mary Leslie; two sisters, Glenna Little and Marlene Surette (late Arnold) and a sister-in-law, Beverly Little.

Family and friends are welcome to attend an informal gathering at Swan Funeral Chapel, 1826 Route 3, Harvey Station, NB on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 from 1 to 3 pm to visit and share memories of Vercelia. Interment will be at a later date at Harvey Settlement Cemetery.

For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Vercelia, the family has suggested the St. Paul’s United Church in McAdam, NB. www.flewellingswan.com
