Obituary for Zella Martin

It is with a feeling of great loss and sadness that we announce that Zella Martin, 69, of Baie Ste Anne passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, November 22nd, 2019. Born May 18th, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Jack Doucette (1993) and the late Yvonne (Turbide) Doucette (2019).

Wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she will be remembered and sadly missed by her loving husband of 50 years, Lucien (Mon) Martin, their three beautiful daughters, Colette Martin (Bruce) of Hardwicke, Lucille Martin (Eldred) of Baie Ste Anne and Cindy Manderville (Dale) of Millerton, her step-daughter Denine Doucet (Alan), her six grandsons: Justin, Alex, Reid, Andre, Evan and Cole, four step-grandchildren, Samantha, Lukas, Avery and Harrison. She will also be deeply missed by her siblings: Alphonse (Rose-may), Eve (Rolande), Marita (Omer), Thomas (Chantal), Albain (Colette), Francine (Gilles), Vernon (Rosa), Julien, Bernard (Blanche), and by several nieces, nephews and friends. She has also reunited with her siblings Mathilda (Albert), John (Aline), Maxime (Darlene) and very special nephews, Denis Martin and Jeff Burgoyne.

Zella was the happiest when spending quality time with her daughters, her grandsons, her husband and her family and friends. She always had great pride in making people laugh and in taking care of others.

Family will receive relatives and friends at the Baie Ste Anne slumber room Soeur Blondine Martin on Friday November 29th.2019 from 11:00 am until the time of funeral at 2:00 pm. Zella’s brother’s and sister’s, along with their families formed an honor guard.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated.

The family would also like to thank the Nursing staff and the Doctors at the Miramichi Hospital, 2 East for the exceptional loving attention and care provided to Zella during her time in the hospital.
