Obituary for Jacques Ouellette

It is with broken hearts the family of Jacques Ouellette announce his passing which occurred on Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Bobby’s Hospice, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 7, 1952 in Edmundston, NB to the late Omeril and Agnes (Fournier) Ouellette.

Jacques was a loving and dedicated family man who was extremely proud of his sons and grandchildren. He had many friends and will be remembered for his great sense of humour. Jacques was a pipefitter and worked for Irving Pulp and Paper for 35 years, retiring in 2007; a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church, Honorary Member of the KOC Council #6770 and a member of the Westfield Golf and Country Club. He loved to walk, golf, bowl, play cards and was passionate about Hockey taking the time to coach his boys team in Lancaster Minor Hockey. He was a Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks fan and volunteered to call the Bingo with KOC. Jacques was proud to be sober for 27 years and shared his story to help others.

Jacques is survived by his loving and devoted wife Anne (Dupere) of Grand Bay-Westfield; sons Kevin Ouellette and Ryan Ouellette (Alyssa) both of Saint John; precious grandchildren Logan and Ariana; brothers Charles Ouellette (France) and Jeannot Ouellette (Ginette); sisters Pauline Rossignol and Ginette Dufour all of Edmundston; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Along with his parents, Jacques was predeceased by his brother Gilles Ouellette; brother-in-law Robert Rossignol and granddaughter Arielle Ouellette.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday, December 5th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Matthews Catholic Church in Grand Bay- Westfield on Friday December 6th, 2019 at 12 Noon. Followed by a reception. Interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
