Dawn A. Nelson, 63, of Moncton, surrounded by her loving family, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, December 4, 2019. Born in Springhill, she was the daughter of Gwyneth “Gwyn” (Holloway) Buck and stepfather, Raymond Buck.

Dawn was an Accountant at Classic Memorials and was a member of St. George’s Anglican Church, where she served her church in various capacities over the years. She loved spending time at the family cottage on the Amherst Shore and supporting her daughter, Stephanie with her various volunteering roles within DancEast. She also enjoyed travelling, genealogy, painting and photography.

In addition to her mother, Gwyneth “Gwyn” Buck (Raymond), Dawn will be sadly missed by her husband of 42 years, Carl Nelson of Moncton; daughter, Stephanie Nelson (Alastair Klima) of Petawawa, ON; cherished grandchild expected to arrive in April of 2020; sister, Susan Cambers (Greg) of Moncton; many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and extended family members.

In addition to her biological father, Dawn was predeceased by her son, Andrew Nelson (1981).

Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858–1995) on Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. A Service to celebrate and honour Dawn’s life will be held from St. George’s Anglican Church, 51 Church St. on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 1:30 pm with The Reverend Chris VanBuskirk leading the service. Reception to follow in the Church Hall. Interment will be in Stilesville Cemetery, Spring 2020.

In lieu of flowers, in memory of Dawn, donations to Ovarian Cancer Canada (www.ovariancancer.org or 1–877–413–7970 Ext. 321) or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
