Obituary for Jaclyn Brannen

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jaclyn Marie Brannen (McCaustlin) on December 4, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Adam Brannen and loving mother of sons; Ben, Noah, step son Kody and step daughter Abigail. Born on August 22, 1979 to her parents Bernice (Vautour) Allaby and David McCaustlin.

Jaclyn graduated from St. Malachy’s High School. She was employed for 20 years at Bell Aliant where she was respected and loved. She was married to the love of her life Adam and he never left her side as she battled courageously. She loved to be home and absolutely adored her children. Jaclyn was instrumental in the 1st ever Multiple Myeloma March in New Brunswick. Her kindness and willingness to put others needs ahead of her own will never be forgotten.

In addition to her husband Adam, Jaclyn is survived by her parents; Bernice (Ken) Allaby and David (Jill) McCaustlin, sons; Ben, Noah, step son Kody (Jess) and step daughter Abigail (Josh), sister and best friend Sarah McCaustlin, brothers; Kris McCaustlin (Jody), Derek McCaustlin (Angela), step siblings; Brandy and Sam Allaby, and Amy and Jessica Dunfield, grandchild Sophia, father in law Fred Brannen (Colleen), mother in law Marsha Brannen, nephews; Matthew, Hayden, Ayden and Evan, and niece Emma, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends .

She is predeceased by her grandparents; Bernadette and Auguste Vautour and Joseph and Dorothy McCaustlin.

Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3 506–634–1701. Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 8th from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church on Monday, December 9th at 10:30 AM. A Reception will follow at the Assumption Centre.
