Obituary for Jean Shirley Myers

1933 – 2019
Jean Shirley Myers (Milburn), 86, of Hillsborough passed away on December 6th, 2019 at the Moncton Hospital with her family by her side after a brief illness. She was born in Curryville, Albert Co., NB on March 27th, 1933, the daughter of the late James and Addie Milburn and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Jean spent her life caring for others as a Special Care Home Operator looking after many people in their time of need. Jean was known for her great sense of humour, love of life and family.

Jean is survived by her children; son, Donnie Myers (Kim); daughters Nancy McNaught (Tom), Carol Trites (Dave), Kathryn Tower (Sid), and Pauline Stannard (Jim); Grandchildren Chris, Laurie, Ashley, Kimberley (Sean), Kevin (Kate), Bradley, Ethan, and Aiden; and six great–grandchildren. She is also survived by step–children Austin Myers (June) and Wanda Lynch (Jack) and several step–grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Jean was predeceased by her husband Ralph Myers, as well as siblings Hally and Arthur Milburn (Millie) and Erma Stevens (Melvin).

As per Jean’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral. A private graveside service will be held at a later time.

For those who wish, donations to the Curryville Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
