Obituary for Clayton Henwood

1934 – 2019
Clayton E. Henwood, 85 of Riverview, NB passed away on December 6, 2019 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton he was the son of the Late Liffie and Elizabeth (Milton) Henwood.

Clayton worked several years with Modern Construction and then went on to be the Founder of C&O Contractors in partnership with his late brother Ottis Henwood. Following C&O Contractors he then went on to form James Paving and lastly Albert County Liquidators, where he loved to wheel and deal and chat with many friends and customers. No one could leave without a good game of crib.

Clayton leaves behind his wife of 68 years, Jane (Williston) Henwood whom he lovingly called Janie, six children, Karen (Mike) Jessulet of Riverview, Linda Henwood of Edmonton, Eric (Jacqueline) Henwood of Paquet, NL., Susan (Raymond) Parsons of Riverview, Perry (Marie) Henwood of Boundary Creek, Lonnie (Wayne) Fawcett of Red Deer. Nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, his sisters Marjorie Kierstead, Muriel Hanson and Lorena Phillips.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Henry, Mert, Richard and Ottis.

In accordance to Clayton’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. His arrangements have been entrusted to Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview (869–2007).

Donations to the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by his family. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
