Obituary for Ronald Saulnier

It’s with great sadness that the family of Ronald "Ron" Saulnier, 83, of Shediac, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Dr. George-L.-Dumont UHC, Moncton. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Zoël and Alvina (Gautreau) Saulnier.

Ron was a taxi driver, he was a former employee White cab, a former owner of Air Cab, before his retirement in 2014 he owned operated Papillion Taxi for over 20 years. Ron volunteer with the CNIB and the Shediac Athletic Club for many years, a former member of the St John Ambulance in Shediac, a former volunteer fireman for the town of Shediac. He was also an avid Montreal Canadian Fan.

He will be sadly missed by his spouse, Eva (LeBlanc) Saulnier of Shediac; his children, Joanne Saulnier (Terry) of Fredericton, Janice Saulnier (André) of Shippagan, Paul (Suzie) of Grand Barachois, Phyllis Saulnier Doiron (Guy) of Shediac and Huguette Saulnier Guitard (Denis) of Moncton; his grandchildren Marie-France, Ian, Jade Shushu and Samuel, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by three brothers, Paul, Victor and Leroy.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac from where the funeral will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 10 at 3 pm. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 1 pm until time of funeral.

In memory of Ron, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (dialysis) or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.

Cremation and funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, (532-3297) Shediac. Words of comfort and online condolences may be forwarded through our website at: www.frenettefuneralhome.com
