Obituary for Charles Wilson

Charles Richard Wilson of Oakville, NB passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019. Charles was born in Woodstock, NB on September 26, 1951. Son of the late Frederick and Helen (Thornton) Wilson.

Chuck was loved by his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews. He loved keeping tabs on all of his wildlife, and would reward his children with a quarter whenever they were first to spot one. Even though he was semi-retired he was never known to have a lazy day. He always said the morning was “the best time of the day,” waking up at the crack of dawn to start his days, and ending them asleep in his chair "watching" the Bruins play. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, whether it be to one of his six siblings, or to anyone that crossed paths with him.

He will be in our hearts forever.

Charles is survived by his wife Marilyn (McConnell) Wilson. His children and grandchildren, William Wilson (Nichole) of Tantallon, NS and their children Avery and Gage; Virginia Rayment (Michael) of Shearwater, NS and their children Brooke and Ethan; Ross Wilson (Jennifer) of Woodstock, NB and their children Dylan and Alena; Helen Wilson of Dartmouth, NS. Also, by his siblings, Nellie Morgan, Charlene McTaggart, Mac Wilson (Marg), John Wilson (Gail), Doug Wilson (Janice), Jane Antworth (Darrell). Sisters-in-law, Beverley Ketch (Harold), Liz Tibbits and brother-in-law Larry McConnell. 19 nieces and nephews and numerous extended family.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother Clinton Wilson, brothers-in-law, Frank Morgan and Melvyn McTaggart, sister-in-law Jane Olmstead.

Visitation from The Culberson Funeral Home 188 Connell Street, Woodstock on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral services for Charles Wilson will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 11:00 am from St. Marks Anglican Church, Jackson Falls. Interment to follow at the St. Marks Anglican Church Cemetery.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Parish of Richmond Compassion Fund, 3671 Route 540, Richmond Corner, NB E7M 4W7 or donor’s choice. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to www.culbersonfuneralhome.com.

Arrangements with the Culberson Funeral Home, 188 Connell Street, Woodstock, NB E7M 1L8 (506-325-1130)
