Obituary for Raymond Debly

Surrounded by his family at home, Raymond J. Debly peacefully went to be with the Lord on December 14, 2019. Born on September 11, 1930 at Belleisle Creek, he was the son of the late Louis and Dora Debly.

Ray was educated at local schools and was a graduate of UNB. He taught at Harvey Station, Back Bay, Fredericton Junction and St. Martins. Eventually he turned to construction where he was the owner and manager of Debly Construction Ltd. since 1963.

He is survived by his wife Janet and seven sons Majid (Kim), Habib (Cara), Louis, Kemal (Nicole), Wesley (Zeina), Peter and Joseph; daughter-in-law Paula Debly; 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by sons Raymond, Anthony and Asied.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Tuesday from 2 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 4347 Loch Lomond Road on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at 10 am. Interment will be held at the Debly Family Cemetery, Otter Lake Road at a later date.
