Obituary for Carl Marr

1934 - 2019
Carl Marr passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at the Moncton Hospital. Son of the late Garth and Gladys (Rousse) Marr, he raised his family in Riverview before returning to his birthplace of Corn Hill.

Carl, above all, loved his wife. He and Lois enjoyed a good game of golf, making lovely crafts, and sculpting beautiful gardens. Carl also took a cotton to woodworking and was a master of “tinkering around”. He was the former manager of Spring Specialty Ltd. and started with the company when they opened in 1975 until his retirement in 1999. His proudest accomplishment, though, was his family. He was happiest hosting big noisy dinners and having all of his children and grandchildren gathered under one roof. Everyone got a hug and a “thanks for coming, I sure enjoyed that” before ever making it out the door.

As much as Carl loved his family, they loved him just as much. He will be will forever missed by his devoted wife Lois (Trenholm), daughters; Janet Hache (Emile) and Lorryann Arsenault (Rejean), sons: Jeff (Lorelei) and Larry (Liza), sister, Mona Caldwell (Budd), grandchildren; Jordan, Ashley, Shelby, Genna (Chris), Cassidy, Aryka, Elizabeth and Jennifer.

He was predeceased by his parents, sisters; Bernice, Doris, Audrey, Joyce and Marjorie, brothers: Milton and Daryl.

The family wish to share wonderful memories of Carl with family and friends at Cobb's Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview (869-2007) on Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM, with a service in celebration of his life to take place on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 1 PM from St. James United Church in Petitcodiac. The interment will take place at Maplewood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to the Alzheimer's Society or the Friends of the Moncton Hospital. Online condolences can be expressed at www.cobbsfuneralhome.ca
