Obituary for Esther Gorber

Esther Gorber, 92, of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Lakeview Manor, Riverview. Born on November 6, 1927 in Montreal, PQ, she was the daughter of the late Eva and Jacob Melnick.

Esther leaves to mourn her son, Bruce Gorber (Rosanne); her grandchildren, Shayna Gorber (Jon) and Michael Gorber; as well as her sister, Bess of Montreal; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Charles, son Jay, as well as her sister, Nellie and brother, David.

Esther volunteered for many years at The Moncton Hospital.

The family would like to thank the management and staff of Lakeview Manor, as well as Esther’s caregivers for their care and devotion.

Funeral Service for Esther will be held at the Tiferes Israel Synagogue, 56 Steadman Street, on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at 12:30 pm. Interment will be in Tiferes Israel Cemetery, Dieppe.

Arrangements under the professional care of Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858–1995).

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital or a memorial of choice would be appreciated. Online condolences for the family may be shared on the Fergusons Funeral Home Facebook Page or at www.fergusonsfuneralhome.com
