Obituary for Sofia Flogeras

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Sofia Flogeras announce her unexpected passing on Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born May 4, 1944 in Greece, she was a daughter of the late George and Metaxia (Daeres) Flogeras.

Sofia will be lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters: Vasili Flogeras (Flora), Eleni Messerlian (John), Maria Elmajian (Elie), Paul Flogeras (Elizabeth), Voula Likourgiotis (the late Theodore), and Peter Flogeras; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Dimitri Flogeras.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634–7424). Visitation was held on Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 2 to 5 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23, 2019 at 11 am from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery.

For those who wish, remembrances to the Canadian Mental Health Association, Bobby’s Hospice, or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.BrenansFH.com.
