Obituary for Katrine Robinson

ROBINSON, KATRINE
The death of (Mary) Katrine Robinson – wife of the late Merle Robinson - occurred on December 27, 2019 in Moncton, NB.

Katrine was a kind and thoughtful person who was known for her fantastic sense of humor. She was always able to brighten up one’s day with a kind word or witty remark, able to solve almost any crossword or cryptiquote, she was a very social person who enjoyed being around her large family as well as her friends at the apartment building where she resided.

Born in York Mills, NB on May 30, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Alma (Little) Briggs.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Betty Briggs and a son, Randall Robinson.

Katrine was employed by Moncton Publishing Company for several years, retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church, Riverview, and a life member of Saxby Temple no. 35, Pythian Sisters, where she held the office of pianist for many years.

For many years, she enjoyed travelling extensively with her husband Merle as well as spending winter months in Florida where they made many new friends.

She will be greatly missed by her surviving family – son Gregory (Linda), daughter Anne Parsons (Blaine), son Kevin (Monica), as well as grandchildren Bobby Robinson (Tanyia), Deanne Demestihas (John), Leanne Ryan (Michael), Matthew Wood, Angela Hawks (Ryan), Katrina “Katie” and Carleigh Robinson, and her many great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her dear friend, Marilyn Tiller.

In accordance with Katrine‘s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service at Fair Haven Cemetery will be held at a later date. Arrangements and trust it to Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton, (506)852-3530. An online book of condolences is available to sign at www.fairhavenmemorial.ca
