Obituary for Annette Jonah

Annette May (Foster) Jonah, of Sussex, passed away peacefully at the Sussex Hospital on Thursday, December 26, 2019, at the age of 68 years. Born in Middleton, NS, Annette is the daughter of Georgia (Haight) and the late Rev. Hallett Foster.

She was a member of Havelock United Baptist Church and a regional support group leader to the Neuroendocrine Cancer Group. Before she was married, she graduated from Atlantic Baptist College; she worked with DVBS groups in Newfoundland and child care in Fredericton. Later she stayed home to raise her children and once they were grown she did senior home care.

Annette is survived by her husband of 46 years, Darryll Jonah; one daughter Nalan (Darren) Stretch of Kinkora, PEI and two sons Mitchell (Darcie) Jonah of Norton, NB, and Ross (Monique) Jonah of Vernon, BC; five grandsons Samuel Stretch, Micah Jonah, Eli Jonah, Tyler Stretch, and Luke Jonah; sister Sandi (Don) Smith of Moncton and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be visitation at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Route 106 (372-4800) on Friday, January 3, 2020 from 4 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Havelock United Baptist Church, Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 10 am with Rev. Jeff Irving officiating. Interment at the Jonah Cemetery, Dawson Settlement.
