Obituary for George Jones

It is with great sadness that the family of George Ernest Jones of Oak Point, NB, announces his passing which occurred on January 4, 2020 at the St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home, Saint John, NB. Born in Evandale, NB, on September 23, 1941, he was the son of the late Ernest and Florence (Ferris) Jones.

George is survived by his children: James Jones (Lisa) of Saint John, NB, Kathy Jones of Brudheim, AB, and Brandi Jones (Kalvin) of Oak Point, NB; grandchildren: Alyshia Rathburn, Victoria Jones, Caelan Asimakos and Aidan Asimakos; siblings: Shirley Reicker, Bertha Jackson and Ron Jones (Karen); as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his sister Marion Reicker.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. A Celebration of George’s life will take place in the spring.

Memorial donations in memory of George may be made to A Living Memorial or to the memorial of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family and donations may be made through SherwoodsFuneralHome.com
