Obituary for Olive d'Entremont

Olive d’Entremont, 79, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, January 4, 2020. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late George and Winnifred (Smith) Stillman.

Olive was a member of St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church where she was a long-time catechist and volunteer. Olive was a fantastic seamstress and avid baker.

Olive will be sadly missed by her husband of 57 years, Victor d’Entremont; daughters, Lisa d’Entremont of Moncton and Andrea Clark (Randy) of Red Bank; sons, Neil d’Entremont (Colleen) of Quispamsis and Marc d’Entremont (Petra) of Victoria, BC; six grandchildren, Casey (Cole), Mackenzie, Nathan, Taylor, Emily and Audrey; two great granddaughters, Nora and Tessa; sisters, Joan Urquhart, Juanita Dueck (Terry), Susan Stillman, Catherine Boates (Bob) and Deborah Lawless (Joe); brother, George Stillman (Barb), as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Nelson Stillman.

Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday evening, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. A Mass to celebrate and honour Olive’s life will be held from St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, Dominion Street, on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 11:00 am, with Rev. Angus Johnston presiding. Reception following Mass. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Olive to the Parkinson Society, Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation or a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Online condolences for the family may be shared on Fergusons Funeral Home Facebook page or at www.fergusonsfuneralhome.com
