Obituary for Frank Dignam

Frank Dignam passed away Friday, January 3 2020, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 87. Born in Chatham in 1932, he was the son of the late James and Mary (Holland) Dignam.

Frank retired as a Labourer at CFB Chatham, and was a past member of the Knights of Columbus.

Frank is survived by his nephew Mark (Michelle) Conroy and his two great-nephews, Jared Conroy and Travis Conroy. He is also survived by his siblings: Doris Perry (Oscar), Betty McCafferty (Art), Margaret Whalen (Ron), Donna Conroy, Edward Dignam (June), and James Dignam (Mary Jane), as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Frank is predeceased by his brothers: Elmer Dignam, Raymond Dignam, Jack Dignam, Byron Dignam and Billy Dignam; sisters: Vera Dignam, Nellie Moran (Bennie), Bertie Bright (Freddie), Alice Dignam and Gladys Dignam.

There will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be held at Saint Michael’s Basilica on Tuesday, January 7 2020, at 11:00am with Father Dass officiating. Pallbearers are: Kenny Moran, Jim Lewis, Ray O’Donnell, Peter Dignam, Ray Dignam and Chris Dignam.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the memorial of one’s choice would be appreciated.
