Obituary for Jean "Johnny" Meuse

March 20, 1950 – January 4, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean “Johnny” Meuse on January 4, 2020 at the age of 69. Though a current resident at Losier Hall in Miramichi, he was born and lived in Baie Sainte-Anne, NB all his life.

In his earlier and healthier years, Johnny was an employee of the Theriault & Haché Peat Moss plant for many years. He enjoyed being outdoor in the summer sun, listening to music, family gatherings and loved capturing life on film. His joy was taking pictures of family and friends and had a large collection of black and white and color pictures which he was so proud to share with people and reminisce of the good old days.

Johnny was born on March 20, 1950 and was the son of the late John Alfred and Irene (Mazerolle) Meuse.

He is survived by his brothers, Walter, Olan, Claude and Gerard, all of Baie Sainte-Anne, NB. His sisters, Jeanine Cyr Gagnon (late Maurice) of Beresford, NB, Ginette Meuse Despres (late Félicien) of Baie Saint-Anne, NB, Rita Morris (Wayne) of Bible Hill, NS and Eva Muise (Mike) of Miramichi, NB as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Leo Meuse of Baie Sainte-Anne, NB, sisters Rena Richard (Jean) of Cocagne, NB and Edith Oakley-Budd (late Ernie) of Moncton, NB.

There will be no visitation or church funeral service though the Meuse family extends an invitation to join them at the Golden Age Club in Baie Sainte-Anne, NB on January 10th, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm for family, friends and community members to remember and celebrate Johnny’s life and offer condolences. Arrangements are under the care of Maher’s Funeral Home in Miramichi, NB. Telephone 773-4321 or www.mahersfh.com.
