Obituary for Dorothee Cowan

It is with great sadness that the family of Dorothee Ann (Sear) Cowan announces her passing which occurred on Friday, January 17, 2020 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John on January 3, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Ella (Osborne) Sear.

Dorothee is survived by her son, David Ross Cowan (Kandi) of Denver, Colorado and her daughter Caroline Ann Britten (Donald) of Quispamsis NB, four grandchildren Rebecca, Melissa, Nicole of Denver, Colorado and Andrew (Becca) of Vancouver, BC and three great-grandchildren Vera, Kelton, and Ella of Colorado.

Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Bay View Funeral Home, 1461 Manawagonish Road, Saint John (634-7425). Visitation will take place on Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM. A funeral service will be held from the Brenan’s Bay View Chapel on Monday, January 20, 2020 at 11 AM.

Remembrances may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, The Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Church of The Good Shepherd, and St. Luke’s Gondola Point Restoration Fund. Online condolences may be placed at www.BrenansFH.com.
