Obituary for Wayne Rector

It is with sadness that the family of Wayne Rector announce his passing which occurred on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at his home. Born on October 19, 1951 in Saint John, he was a son of the late G. Bill and Eva (Grafton) Rector.

Wayne was employed with the NB School Board for over 37 years. He was an avid bowler from the age of 15 until his illness prevented him from doing so. Wayne was a joker who loved country music, the Toronto Maple Leafs and Stock Car races. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Wayne will be dearly missed by his wife and caregiver Gisele (Desjardins) Rector, his step-sons: James (Debbie) Rossignol, Tony (Nadine) Rossignol and Gary Rossignol, his siblings: Girvan (Dorothy) Rector, Clifton (Linda) Rector and Pauline Dunham, 6 step-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and members of his extended family.

Wayne’s family would like to extend their utmost gratitude to the staff of Jones Health Care. Your compassion and kindness will not be forgotten.

Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, January 21 from 2-4 and 6-8. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 22 at 10 am from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel.

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society and online condolences can be placed at www.brenansfh.com
