Obituary for Cecilia Martin

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cecilia Martin of Baie Ste-Anne, who passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on January 14, 2020 at the age of 68. Born in Baie Ste-Anne, she was the daughter of the late Maxime and Elise Martin.

Cecilia is survived by her spouse, Yvon Martin and one son, Marco (Lisa Leblanc), six brothers: Ade (Aline) of Neguac, Moise (late Veronique), Willie (Alice), Luc (Gaietan), Gilles (Roseline), all of Baie Ste-Anne, and Michael (Eva) of Miramichi; five sisters: Henriette, Geraldine and Marie-Therese of Neguac and Della of Pointe Sapin; two goddaughters: Laurie-Anne Kelly and Monique Daigle, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Cecilia was predeceased by three sisters: Jeanne, Rita and Carmeline, and three brothers: Victor, Maxime and Yvon.

There will be no visitation by request of the family. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, January 21st at 4:00pm at Sainte Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, officiated by Father Doyle. An honour guard was formed by the Baie Ste-Anne firefighters. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Maher’s Funeral Home. Telephone 773-4321 or www.mahersfh.com
