Obituary for Pauline Fearon

Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on January 20, 2020 at the age of 87, Mrs. Pauline "Polly" Catherine (McGlinchey) Fearon, wife of the late Joseph Fearon. Born in Harcourt, NB on June 16,1932, daughter of the late Daniel McGlinchey and the late Nora McLean.

She graduated from Soldiers Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse but left the profession to raise her family and remained a homemaker the rest of her life. She was a longtime volunteer for the United Church thrift shop and will be sorely missed. She loved to watch figure skating and curling and enjoyed word puzzles and dominated any game involving trivia.

She is survived by her sons David (Gail) and Robert Fearon of Dalhousie; her daughters Wendy (Francis) Daigle of Saint Ignace NB; Ann (Ray Imai) Fearon of Hantsport NS; brothers Mckenzie (King) [Philomena] McGlinchey and Earl (Dorothy) McGlinchey of Harcourt NB; adored by her grandchildren Tara, Shauna, Jason, Joseph, Danielle, Emily and Adam and seven great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Joseph; her sister Rita Ward and brother Sterling McGlinchey.

Funeral service will be held at St John’s United Church, Dalhousie on Friday, January 24 at 11:00am. Visitation at Maher’s Funeral Home, 421 Victoria St., Dalhousie on Thursday from 7 to 9 and Friday at St. John’s United Church from 10:00am until time of funeral.

Donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
